3 Questions to Test Your Trust in Jesus from 1 John 5:14-19 Do you have confidence in prayer? (vv. 14-15) Do you pray for your sinning brothers and sisters? (vv. 16-17) Do you have victory over sin? (vv. 18-19)
Do you believe God’s testimony? – 1 John 5:6-12
Are you an overcomer? 1 John 5:4 tells us, “Everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world.” So John gives us this key, if you have been born of God, then you have overcome the world. So how do you know if you have overcome the world? Believe (1 John 5:1a) Love (1 John 5:1b-2) Do (1 John 5:3-5) – Obey God’s commands.
